3-Day Serengeti Migration Safari — Witness the Great Migration
A 3-day Serengeti migration safari chasing 1.5 million wildebeest, the Big Five and game drives that deliver — departing from Arusha.
Overview
About this safari
The Great Migration is the largest animal movement on Earth: 1.5 million wildebeest, 250,000 zebra, and 500,000 gazelle completing a 1,200 km circuit between Tanzania's Serengeti and Kenya's Maasai Mara. No David Attenborough documentary prepares you for the scale of it.
This 3-day safari puts you in the Serengeti for two full days of game drives, timed by season to position you where the herds are — calving in Ndutu (January–March), the northern river crossings (July–October), or the central plains during the shoulder months. Your guide's local knowledge is the difference between driving past empty plains and watching a 10,000-strong column cross the road in front of you.
Accommodation is a mid-range tented camp inside or on the border of the park — waking up to wildlife outside your tent is part of the deal.

Common Questions
Frequently asked
Is 3 days enough for the Serengeti?
Three days is the practical minimum for a meaningful Serengeti safari. You get two full days of game drives inside the park — enough to see the Big Five, position for migration herds, and experience both golden-hour sessions (dawn and dusk are peak activity). For a broader Northern Circuit experience, upgrade to our 5-Day Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire & Manyara safari.
