Two days is the minimum to experience both the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater — Tanzania's two most iconic wildlife destinations. This itinerary doesn't compromise: a full afternoon and evening in the Serengeti, overnight inside the conservation area, and a full Ngorongoro Crater descent on day two.

It's designed for travelers on tight schedules — those connecting through Arusha between Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar, or adding a safari to a business trip. You won't have time to track every cheetah family in the park, but you will see why Tanzania is Africa's premier safari destination. Most guests see lion, elephant, and buffalo on day one; the crater adds hippo, flamingo, and often rhino on day two.

Common Questions

Frequently asked

Is a 2-day Tanzania safari worth it?

Absolutely — if 2 days is what you have. You'll see more wildlife in 2 days in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro than in a week in most other African countries. The experience is compressed but genuine: real bush, real animals, real bush breakfast. For anything more than a passing taste of Tanzania, upgrade to our 3-day Northern Circuit safari which adds meaningful Serengeti time.
